Overview
Reading is spread along the south bank of the River Thames not far from London and Oxford. It is divided across three beautiful campuses – Whiteknights, London Road and Greenlands. The main Whiteknights campus occupies 130 hectares of breathtaking parkland near the centre of the city. It is recognized as one of the UK’s best green spaces and nine consecutive Green Flag awards are proof of that. The smaller London Road campus is also nearby to the historical centre of Reading. Both of these campuses are 30 minutes from London Paddington via train. The university has invested £500 million to improve campus facilities including accommodation, teaching buildings and research centres.
The University’s accommodation is safe and all inclusive with utility bills included in the price. All of the halls of residence are within a 15 minute walk from two of its Reading campuses. In total, it has 5,000 rooms in catered and self-catered residence buildings.
An International Foundation Programme is available to students whose current level of English doesn’t meet entry requirements. Pre-sessional English courses can also help international students get ready to study at the university.
