Previously known as Kingston Polytechnic, it became Kingston University in 1992. Today, the university is valued for outstanding teaching and a few UK-leading courses. It is also among the world’s best young universities.

 The university takes pride in its global inclusive student community. More than 3,000 of 18,000 students came from outside the UK. The students from 140+ countries are attracted by under- and postgraduate degrees in a variety of areas including business, arts and design, computing, healthcare, social sciences, engineering, and others. The Guardian University Award 2017 marked the university’s achievements in teaching. Besides world-class professors, the university boasts interactive learning technologies such as flight simulators, mock hospital wards, Blooming trading room, and recording studious.

 International students can take advantage of a range of scholarships. The £5,000-worth International Development Scholarship, a 10% loyalty bursary, faculty-specific scholarships, as well as scholarships funded by external organizations are available to students from overseas to help cover their tuition fees.

Overview

The Kingston University is situated in the outskirts of London, in the picturesque riverside town of Kingston-upon-Thames. The campuses adjoin two royal parks and Hampton Court Palace. The location is perfect for deer watching, relaxation, walking, and having a quiet studying time. Along with that, all the delights of bursting city life are within a short 25-minutes train ride.

 The university is divided into five campuses associated with a specific faculty. The centre of Kingston-upon-Thames and its vicinity is home to Kingston Hill, Penrhyn Road, Knights Park, and Roehampton Vale campuses. The campus for medical students is based in London and is within a short ride from Kingston.

 The university provides accommodation to all first-year students. The seven university-owned halls of residence are located close to campuses. Single rooms have a shared kitchen for 2-9 people, 70% of the rooms have en-suite facilities.

 International students are able to use pre-sessional courses to improve their English and meet the university’s English level requirements.
