The University of Hull first opened its doors in 1924 and it is the 14th oldest university among English peers. The university prides itself on delivering cutting edge education facilities, outstanding teaching and vast opportunities for personal development. The Teaching Excellence Framework awarded it with the silver status for high standards of teaching and excellent student satisfaction levels.

The university is broken into four faculties: Arts, Culture and Education; Health Sciences; Science and Engineering; and Business, Law and Politics. Each faculty ensures a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The educational process is organized to blend theory with practice through one of its many business partners. This allows 97.9% of international students to find work within 6 months after graduation. The university provides comprehensive career support through advice and access to information and job opportunities.

The University’s campuses host over 16,000 students yearly,and a great portion of them comes from abroad. International undergraduates and postgraduates are able to make use of scholarships or bursaries. In particular, it provides 50 scholarships worth up to £5,000 each for students from EU and non-EU countries.

The university is located in Kingston upon Hull on the east coast of the UK, halfway from London to Edinburgh. University accommodations offer catered and self-catered halls. Students can also pick privately rented accommodation in Hull. The University’s smaller campus in Scarborough can be found on the North Yorkshire coast. Just like its bigger brother, it has catered and self-catered rooms. The University of Hull promises on-campus accommodation to all students who apply before deadlines.

Applicants who don’t meet Hull’s language requirements can make use of pre-sessional English courses.
